How far is Peak Health Chiropractic from St. Augustine?
Peak Health Chiropractic has one office, at 166 SR-A1A N Ste 101 in Ponte Vedra Beach. From downtown St. Augustine that is about 27 miles, a little over 40 minutes, driving A1A north through Vilano Beach. There is no St. Augustine office, so plan the drive when you book your visit at (904) 816-2803.
Do you see patients from the historic district and St. Augustine Beach?
Yes. You are welcome from the historic district near the Castillo de San Marcos, from St. Augustine Beach and Anastasia State Park, and from SR-312 or World Golf Village. Coastal starts follow A1A north through Vilano Beach; from World Golf Village, northwest of town off I-95, most drivers use CR-210 east to A1A instead.
Can you help a St. Augustine student athlete with a sports injury?
Yes. Sports Chiropractic Care is one of our services, and we also offer Pediatric Chiropractic Care for younger patients. We welcome athletes and students from schools such as St. Augustine High School, St. Joseph Academy and Pedro Menendez High School. Sprains, strains, overuse injuries and poor posture are handled with a personalized plan built after an exam.
What should I do before driving up from St. Augustine for a first visit?
Because it is a 40-plus minute drive, fill out the new patient intake forms ahead of time rather than in the waiting room. Bring your insurance card if you have one, plus any spine X-rays or records you already hold. At the visit you consult with Dr. Jack McGrew, have a chiropractic exam and receive a report of findings.
Dr. Jack McGrew is the best! He's knowledgeable, friendly, and does a great job at meeting you where you're at. I came to him barely able to walk or lift my 8 month old son. My back was going out and then would be okay and then would go out again and I was frustrated. From an MRI, I found I had 2 lumbar discs that were bulging/herniated. Dr. McGrew got me started on the spinal decompression protocol and here we are 4-5 months later and I am walking with no pain. I can lift my son (who is now 25lb) and flip him around and do all the fun things I want to be able to do with him. Now my husband and 1 year old son join me and we see Dr. McGrew as a family!
